H-1B Registration

<p>Since 2020, USCIS requires cap-subject H-1B sponsors to first register each potential H-1B beneficiary in an online system during a designated period (usually March).</p><p>The registration is a short form with:</p><ul><li>Basic info</li><li>A $10 (now $215) fee</li></ul><p>After the window closes, USCIS runs the lottery on these registrations. Only if a registration is selected can the employer then file a full H-1B petition for that beneficiary. This process replaced the old system of filing complete petitions and then lottery on those.</p>
