Petitioner

<p>For an H-1B, the <b>petitioner</b> is the U.S. employer or company that submits the Form I-129 petition to sponsor a worker.</p><p>The petitioner must:</p><ul><li>Have an IRS Tax ID (FEIN)</li><li>Be obligated to pay the wage and adhere to LCA conditions</li><li>Have a bona fide relationship (i.e., a real job offer)</li></ul><p>In family immigration, a petitioner would be a U.S. family member; in employment, it's the employer.</p>
