Premium Processing

<p>For H-1Bs, <b>premium processing</b> can be requested by filing Form I-907 and paying the premium fee (recently $2,500, now adjusted to $2,500+ depending on inflation).</p><p>USCIS then guarantees 15 business day processing, meaning an approval, denial, RFE, or other action within that time. It doesn't influence the decision – only the speed.</p><p>Many employers use it for:</p><ul><li>H-1B transfers</li><li>Extensions if a quick answer is needed</li></ul><p>If USCIS misses the deadline, the fee is refunded (but they often still complete the case soon after).</p>
